This Classic Gold Lager kit comes complete with Pacific lager yeast. Gold Lager is a clean, crisp lager with balanced malt sweetness from pale malts. Low hop bitterness brings maximum refreshment without compromising flavour. Perfectly refreshing in hot conditions. For a Gold Lager add 1.5kg Brick Road Extra Light malt extract, or 1kg Brick Road Extra Light Dry malt extract or 1kg dextrose. For more flavour, dry-hop with 30g or more of NZ hops like Riwaka, Nelson Sauvin or Motueka for a stonefruit and citrus flavours, or Australian hops like Galaxy or Vic Secret for tropical fruit flavours. You can also build your own unique recipes brick-by-brick. Brick Road searched the world to find the best maltster to create this exceptional hopped wort. Only the finest grains are selected and malted. Malts are blended to suit the beer style, then mashed with hop extracts to create hopped wort. The fresh wort is gently reduced to 80 Brix before being canned fresh on-site to retain its original delicious malt flavours.

Brick Road Extra Light DME is suitable for all beer, but especially light lagers, pilsners, XPA’s and pale ales. For the best-tasting all-malt beer, mix well with water and Brick Road beer kits to create the finest fresh wort or your favourite yeast and Brick Road Hopped Malt. When mixed to 23L, this pack will contribute a light straw colour up to 5 EBC, and 1.017 gravity points. You can also use it in all-grain recipes when you want only the finest malt flavour. It will replace approx. 1.34 kg of base grain in your wort. This Dry Malt Extract is made from the finest fresh malted barley grown in the UK – probably the world’s best barley-growing climate. It retains the delicious, fresh malt flavour over time through the extreme care taken during the spray-drying process, removing 95% of the water so it doesn’t age in storage.
